Metropolitan

Here's my graphic design, just discover some new technique which is I belive has been used around the world before. This graphic was designed in 3d applications. The concept is simple, just want to create an abstract scene that is representing a metropolitan city. By using basic modeling technique such as simple box, editable poly, extrude and so on I manage to visualize the scene and render it with default renderer.

The Making of Bleeding Mascara

In this article I'd like to talk about the process of creating my image "Bleeding Mascara". I was listening to Bleding Mascara songs and decided to design a concept for them. It can be poster or cover album or what so ever. I used photoshop to paint this image.

For the first layer, I used a few watercolor brushes to setup the scene. I decided to do a black and white image at the beginning because it's a lot easier not to concern the coloring.(Fig.01)

On second layer, I started to draw. It takes me a few hours to finish up the skulls. These was pretty easy though .. hold on, it's quite challenging and exciting.(Fig. 02)

At this point, some additional color were add using the adjustment layers. Now it was time to add some details.(Fig.03 & Fig.04)

By combining different effects and texture brushes, finally "Bleeding Mascara" was finish and here's my final image.(Fig.05)

Bleeding Mascara

Here's a concept design for Bleeding Mascara. I was inspired by Bleeding Mascara, a metal band based in Manjung, Perak, Malaysia. I used photoshop to paint the graphics. It's quite challenging because it is my first trial to draw these kind of painting with attention to detail of skulls. I used a few watercolor brushes to setup the scene and continue with default brushes such as airbrush and so on.
At first, I started with black and white images because I don't want to mess up my mind trying to figure out the coloring.
Photoshop is my worst freind right now, wait a second..., no... it's not my worst, it is my best buddy. Trying to experiment with this digital media. On my next post, I will show the making of Bleeding Mascara.
